"I discovered SnowLion on the Internet, and very rapidly we put together a personalized package. I traveled to Laos and Cambodia to experience the mind-boggling serenity of the Buddhist culture in Luang Prabang and the stunning temples and monuments of the Khmer civilization, as well as numerous side trips into villages. It was an incredible experience thanks to the team at Snow Lion. Everything worked like clockwork-the airplanes, the highly professional personal guides and drivers, and the unique lodgings." "As a former naval officer during the Vietnam conflict in the 1970's, just landing in Vietnam was huge. The city of Hanoi was awesome with its French architectural influence. The food was awesome--I was very impressed with the team you had for me in Vietnam. My guide spoke English very well and the driver was great." Rick Liebermann, |

"A sincere thanks to all. Everyone has been very professional and competent. Numerous times on our trip we recognized the potential difficulty of the paperwork and logistics and commented how grateful we were that we booked with Snow Lion. I would recommend Snow Lion to anyone without hesitation." Mark Andreasen |

"Here's one of my favorite photos from my Snow Lion trek, Makalu to Everest. This photo was taken at Khongma, a small campsite near Shipton's Pass. There was a Sherpa family living in a hut near our campsite. They were friendly and open to my attempt to communicate with them. Children are children, no matter where they live--South Dakota or Nepal. We're more alike than different. I remember that day fondly. It was my first real view of the mountains and the unconditional love and acceptance of another (little) human being." Richard Deming |

"The Mount Kailas trek was many adventures in one and a lifetime of experience in an all too brief period. Snow Lion and its staff were superb." Dick Zody |

"Being experienced trekkers, we had a pretty good idea of what to expect from a "typical" adventure travel company. Were we ever surprised by the folks at Snow Lion! Our trek to Mustang was outstanding in every aspect: on-top-of-it-all office staff, pre-trek information packet, Nepal logistics, route knowledge, friendly and knowledgeable sirdar, well maintained trip equipment, you name it! Snow Lion handled all the details perfectly!" Leigh & Marilyn Stowell |

"Soon I will be leaving for my third trip with Snow Lion. This time I am bringing my friends! Last year I celebrated my birthday at Namche Bazaar. The cook baked a cake with yak butter frosting. I will always remember it!" Carol Schille |

"I'm sending a few photos from my trip to Mongolia last summer. It's a wonderful place that most people seem to be unaware of. I'd love to see it get the attention it deserves--Our guide talked this wrestler into taking a photo with me. Their wrestlers are equivalent in popularity to our basketball stars." Lisa McWeeny |

"My brother Phil asked if I would celebrate his 60th with a trek to Mount Everest and Snow Lion did the rest. Snow Lion will more than satisfy the demanding traveler who expects adventure, organization, service, planning, follow through, and lots of fun." Jerome Kauff |

"I wanted to do something challenging, different and adventuresome to celebrate my 60th birthday. The "Everest Close Up" trek provided the friendship of fellow trekkers and wonderful staff. An experience of a lifetime. I'll return to the Himalayas with Snow Lion in 2000." Amazing Grace |

"My life has changed since my visit to Tibet. The wonder and spirituality of Tsurphu, the warmth and friendliness of the Tibetan people, the hustle and bustle of the Barkor and the joys of exploring Kathmandu (surely the world's craziest city). Snow Lion made it all possible: smoothly, safely, and with efficiency. The flexibility in the itinerary was much appreciated. We didn't feel that we were on a tour bus, with a hard and fast schedule. "Two thumbs up!" and many thanks!" Peter Polomski |

"My trip to the Everest region marks the high point in my life. Snow Lion made so many things happen and I will never forget the unexpected visit to the tiny village of Mon La. I couldn't believe it was real and I still can't locate the village on any commercial map. What an adventure!" Chris Kayes |

"I wasn't certain that I was physically up to the altitude on the trek. Because we ascended so gradually, I was able to reach the top of Gokyo Ri, over the Cho La and finally to the summit of Kala Pattar." Howard Filegar |

"I hated saying good-bye to you because I'm so bad at it - particularly in a group of people. I want you to know how grateful I am that I was able to experience Tibet with you because you allowed me to truly experience it, not just see it. Pilgrim vs. tourist. Your insight was invaluable, your energy and embracing nature unforgettable. I was really sad to leave." Molly Murphy |
